Forward and backward.

It's the month of April.

I'm supposed to be seeing cute little leaf buds on trees, and pretty bouquets of blossoms. Well, I'm not.

Hello, my name is Ella, short for Angela. I am a medical student, and I live in the still very frozen state of Minnesota. As far as medical school goes, I do not go to school in this state nor in this great country. I go to school in the fun country of the Philippines. Sophomore year just ended, (yes it is upside down and weird like that), and my mother flew me back here to spend the vacation break with my family.

Being the terribly hot and humid place the Philippines is, you could expect me to be jumping up and down to throw open the arrival doors of Lindbergh terminal and twirl in the expectedly icy (duh, Minnesota) spring air. Well, I did, in a rather winded down way. But I did not expect to see this much snow still lying on the ground.

So I heard the snow's been melting, then it snows enough to cover the ground again. Then the phenomenon happens over and over again. Kind of like, going forward, and then backwards. I thought it was ridiculous, but then realized, I have never seen anything like old leaves lodged in ice, encrusted with fresh snow.

Got some time after church to go traipsing around Snail Lake over at Shoreview. Whatever this Spring of 2013 has got to offer, I guess I should be okay with that.

More of my little adventures soon. I'm still trying to get used to doing mostly nothing after an entire year of nerve-wracking, brain-mauling, medical school activities.
