My Handsome Girlfriend's Wedding.

During high school (kind of like a decade ago), we had this one girl in our circle, who hated makeup, wore army green like it was a religion, lived in baggy jeans, and staunchly believed in all things high-cut Converse All Stars. In spite of this, she had a very pretty face, and lot of guys were still smitten regardless of her tomboyish mannerisms and sense of style.

I remember the day (while she was probably strumming a Lifehouse melody on her guitar), when this really "handsome" girl animatedly retorted out of nowhere,

"One day, when you're all married with kids. I'll be alone at my lake house. I'll always be in that lake, on my canoe, canoeing."

That person, ladies and gentlemen, is this beautiful blushing bride (also my cousin), Chyng!

In spite of the usual Monday medical school exams, I hopped on a ferry and sailed to the other island to read the passage for the ceremony, and simply just be there on one the most important days of her life. They held a very intimate ceremony for close friends and family, and nothing could have been any more enchanting than that beautiful afternoon.

My cousins and I were given the honor to shoot her wedding as a team. Such a beautiful wedding!

It dawned upon me that blessed day, that my high school friends and I weren't getting any younger... And that my dreams that include building a glass-ceilinged house in Alaska to always see the Northern Lights might not exactly happen.

How about I graduate from medical school first. Haha
